Nicola Mortimer gained planning permission for Dewlay's single 2MW wind turbine in April 2009 following appeal.
The wind turbine then became operational in November 2011.
Dewlay was founded in 1957 by George Kenyon a Lancastrian dairyman. Some fifty years on, the dairy is still family-owned and run, producing award winning cheeses to major supermarket chains such as Booths, Waitrose, Asda and Sainsbury's.
